Vegetarian Cooking - Delicious Veggie Dips & Spreads
Kids learn to love to try new and exotic dishes. If they
see you ave a passion for new things they also will love to
try them.
This is a simple one that your kids will really enjoy.
Hummus Spread
What you will need
1 garlic clove
2 lemons
1 can of chickpeas
3 tablespoons tahini
(available at a health
food or specialty grocery store)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
chopped vegetables
pita bread or crackers
knife or garlic press
juicer
measuring spoon
bowl
fork
Mince the garlic or mash it with a garlic press.
Juice the
lemons.
Measure and mix all the ingredients together in a
bowl. Mash with a fork to blend well. (For a smoother hummus,
you can blend the ingredients in a blender.)
Serve as a dip with chopped vegetables, pita bread or crackers.
