Firefox
Web Browser - the Better Browser
Better than ever, the Firefox browser outperforms Internet
Explorer and offers higher levels of security and customization!
I was a dedicated IE user until I tested Firefox. Now
I recommend Firefox over IE without hesitation.
My Firefox browser lets me do so much more when I'm
online, and it helps keep my PC secure. Firefox is faster
loading by far on my computer (a 5 year old Pentium
4 running Win2K) and it's much friendlier to use than
other browsers I've used over the past 13 years. Best
of all, Firefox updates itself automatically - and,
it's FREE from Google with an integrated Toolbar!
Look at all these features - this is only a brief list
... and, it's FREE
Tabs or Windows - My Choice With Firefox, I
can use tabs instead of having many different windows
open when I want to look at more than one site at a
time (like when I'm comparison shopping or using a search
engine results list to look at pages that interest me).
When I want to close a window, I can. Or, if I want
to close all but the window I'm using, I can do that
with a single click.
If I accidentally close a tab, Firefox has a History
menu to bring it back from the list of Recently
Closed Tabs. Firefox 2 has built-in spell checking
to keep me from making mistakes in Web-based email or
when I post to a blog. And, it's so smart it can read
your mind with some search engines and suggest search
terms for what I'm looking for. ( Google - Yahoo! -Answers.com
)
Web Feeds If I want to subscribe to Web feed
Firefox can help. I can use a Firefox Live Bookmark,
or a feed reader on my computer, or use a Web service
such as My Yahoo!, Bloglines or Google Reader.
Firefox Search bar comes pre-loaded with search
engines for Google, Yahoo!, Amazon, eBay, Answers.com,
and Creative Commons. I can select a new search engine
from the Search bar menu at any time, and add search
engines from hundreds of your favorite Web sites.
Security & Pop Up Controls That Work Firefox
keeps me in control of the Web pages I visit by blocking
annoying pop-ups. Firefoxs pop-up blocker notifies
you when pop-ups are blocked via the information bar
or icon on the lower right of the screen. I can allow
pop-ups from sites I trust or want to allow with a simple
click.
Accessibility Firefox delivers a better browsing
experience for everyone - including those who are visually
impaired. Firefox includes support for DHTML accessibility.
Web developers can create pages that reduce the amount
of tabbing required to navigate a document to minimize
keystrokes for those with mobility disabilities. Firefox
Windows version meets US federal government requirements
that software be easily accessible to users with physical
impairments.
Firefox is award winning, and it's no surprise with
all these features (this is only a brief list) ... why
would you want to surf with any other browser? Firefox
is the browser I prefer and use every day.
