Harry Potter's Latest in Braille is a Hefty Book
Indeed!
J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter and the Order
of the Phoenix" is rolling off the Braille presses just
weeks after the print version, thanks to electronic publishing
technology and the dedicated staff at National Braille Press.
The hefty 17-pound, 13-volume Braille edition
costs no more than the standard print version, although it costs
far more to produce. The difference between the publishing cost
and selling price is made up by contributions that fund the
National Braille Press, the
non-profit organization that's producing the Braille version
in Boston, MA.
