Free Weight Loss Study Offers
Self-Help Motivation Program
Someone is giving away a program he believes will save hundreds
of lives and millions of dollars. "Research suggests
that 65 percent of adults think that having little willpower
causes obesity. Health officials and educators disagree ...
still, I'm sure the nonprofessionals have this one correct,"
says Dr. Richard Terry Lovelace. He says that treating overweight
adults convinced him that they can build enough control, or
"real willpower," by doing simple activities. They
included reading a book and listening to "body fat-freeing
facts."
Any adult can visit and use the program free of charge.
Dr. Lovelace believes the study is nearly ideal for those
who want privacy. Volunteers remain anonymous. They visit
online anytime to read the program's book and listen to recorded
explanations and encouragement. No one has to register. The
data needed will come from Web site statistics that cannot
identify individuals.
He doubts that any similar investigation can be easier, safer
or more flexible. Lovelace says, "This doesn't require
any of the elements that might make some weight loss methods
difficult or dangerous. It does not require a diet, reports
of weight or weight lost, exercise, drugs, a food diary, hypnosis,
surgery or dietary supplements. People can, if they want,
add this first willpower-boosting program to any reputable
weight loss method."
Volunteers aren't paid but don't purchase anything. All materials
are free online at www.wellnessnet.com/bfc-weightstudy.
