Poetry
Stones Craft Project
by Dionna Sanchez
For those of you who love to work with rocks and stones, here's
a neat idea for a project you can create and give to someone as
a gift: poetry stones. It is very basic and simple yet when created,
is a lasting memory of your love for someone else and done in an
elegant, classy way.
All
you need are some fairly small stones - about 25 to 50 depending
on how many you would like to create. Wash the stones and let dry.
Then use a gold, glitter marker and start writing words on each
stone.
If you know how to write in calligraphy, then go for it - otherwise
just write as neat as you possibly can. Make sure you include words
that can be used in different sentences such as "the",
"a", "and", etc.
Editors Note: If you have some skill with a hobby
carving tool like a Dremel, you can etch or carve images and words
into stones as in the rune stone pendant photograph on this page.
After the stones have dried you can place them in an elegant
basket or an old-fashioned jar decorated with ribbons and
lace. It is your choice. Enjoy watching your special friend or family
member as they open this heartwarming gift of the heart.
